How residents opt in to text messages

Management emails each resident a personal, private link. The link opens a page like the one below, where the resident chooses whether to receive email, text messages, both or neither. Nothing is pre-selected, and consent is separate from any other agreement. Each choice is recorded with the date, IP address and browser as proof.

I agree to receive recurring text messages (building and community notices) from Pinewood Gardens management at the mobile number on file. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, HELP for help.

Residents can leave at any time by replying STOP or using the link. A resident who has replied STOP can rejoin by replying START.
